Vacuum Brazed Finger Bit with a Replaceable Milling Crown
This is one of the latest products in our range, developed in discussions with architectural masonry companies with requirements to plunge cut directly into materials in volume. This process often results in excessive wear on the tip of the tool. During our research we found that some CNC operators discarded regular straight routers even when there was still working diamond on the shafts of the tools.
In partnership with these customers, we have designed a regular straight router, but with a replaceable M12 head. Once the head, or crown, has been worn it can be replaced at a lower cost than the cost of a full tool. This makes them a cost-effective solution and considerably extends the life of the router.
Fast and Durable CNC Routing on Stone Materials
The router body and crown are both coated with Vacuum Brazed Diamond, suitable for cutting a range of softer stones.
These tools also accept M12 crowns with Sintered Diamond Technology, allowing the tools to be used for applications where the initial plunge cut does not have to be as fast cutting, extending the lifespan of the tool also.
The router bodies are available in three working lengths: 35mm, 65mm and 100m, and the crowns add an additional 20mm of working length.
Domed or Flat Replaceable Crowns for Extra Long Life
The bodies can be supplied with a domed (10mm radius) or flat replaceable crown, depending on the application. The domed routers create a rounded or fluted shape. All crowns have a have a working length of 20mm and a diameter of 20mm.
